Its been herd through the grape vine, that the famous prairie peace park has finally, after years of being on the market sold. the park first opened in 1994, off interstate 80. In its glory days the park attacked about 600 visitors yearly. was sold to a transcendental mediation group in Fairfeild, Iowa, 2005. scene than the place has kinda gone to the dogs. trash lay out front of the park that at one time was coveted my many hippies. This is were i shoot my series "BROKEN PEACE"

With the Monday's warm weather my cabin fever got ever worse. It's been a good awhile since i've been able to get outside to take photos, with all the freezing cold weather and all. so this past Mondays 40 degree weather felt really good. I packed up my gear and got in my car and headed out toward Bennett NE. After a good amount of driving i found i sweet looking barn and no no trespassing sign. with gloves and camera donned, i set out to get a few shoots. whaile setting up a mirror by a tree i saw one of those deer cameras. dude they so have some very werid photos for me taking photos. man, you never really know what you will run into sometimes.   |
